<b>Allnigeriasoccer.com</b> understands that Abia Warriors skipper Austin Oboroakpo will not jump ship before the start of the Nigeria Professional Football League in the next two weeks or so.<br /><br />The Nigeria international was approached by Kano Pillars and Warri Wolves in the off season but he could not be convinced to dump the Umuahia-based side.<br /><br />Oboroakpo and Super Eagles colleague Chisom Chikatara are with the Abia Warriors squad in Rivers State undergoing pre-season training ahead of their first game of the season next weekend.<br /><br />In a bid to scare off interested local clubs, Abia Warriors have offered the central defender a new contract which he is expected to append his signature to next week.<br /><br />The 23-year-old Oboroakpo has been on the books of Abia Warriors for the past five seasons, and assisted them gain promotion to the top-flight in 2013.<br /><br /><b>Editor</b><br /><br />Photo Credit : thenff.com<br />
