Falcons On Brink Of AWC Qualification After Thrashing Rwanda
At the Umuganda Stadium on Saturday, Nigeria beat hosts Rwanda 4 - 1 to take a healthy lead into the return leg of their African Women’s Championship qualifying fixture.<br /><br />After several missed opportunities, Azizat Oshoala opened scoring in the 34th minute and added a second for the eight - time continental champions five minutes later.<br /><br />In the second half, Esther Sunday and Ataşehir Belediyespor striker Desire Oparanozie registered their names on the score-sheet while Clementine Mukamana scored a beautiful free-kick goal for She-Amavubi.<br /><br />In his post match comments, Edwin Okon said :“We deserved the win, we controlled the match most of the time and we had even prepared for the tie very well. <br /><br />“Rwanda is a good team but still young.
