The Super Eagles new fitness coach for the World Cup Bernard Ginès has come in and brought new drills for the players to practice with, allnigeriasoccer.com is reporting.
Other members of Rohr's foreign-backroom staff sighted at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium are Jean Luc-Royr and goalkeeper coach Enrico Pionetti.
Ginès practices have helped prepare the players for the World Cup matches proper, as he tries to mimic some of the runs players make during football matches.
Overall, this is a marked difference from what was obtainable before now and it is a welcome development and the players' match fitness will surely improve.
Worthy of note too is the fact that the new fitness coach has personally conducted a special regime of training for Wilfred Ndidi.
The training looks like he is preparing a warrior for battle, and given that Ndidi is Nigeria's rock in midfield, this gives everybody hope that the Leicester City midfielder will be ready for the World Cup.
