English football expert Martin Tyler had some kind words for Wilfred Ndidi during an interview with the Nigerian media, saying the Super Eagles star is good enough to play for Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, who all finished above Leicester City in the 2020-2021 Premier League.
Ndidi has established himself as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League since transferring from Racing Genk in January 2017 and is consistently up there in the rankings for top tacklers in the division.
Tyler underlined that the Nigeria international does the dirty work extremely well in midfield as he does not pick up many bookings despite his combative nature.
Ndidi was wanted by Manchester United before joining Leicester City, while Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are believed to be keeping tabs on the Super Eagle with a view to a move in the future.
Asked to rate the two Nigeria internationals at Leicester City, Tyler told Elegbete TV Sports : "Wilfred first. I think any other team would sign him, that's the best compliment that I can pay him.
"Any of the four teams above Leicester would sign him, he's that effective at what he does.
"His stats are superb, he does it without upsetting referees too much, you know he gets the ball strongly and fairly, and that's where everything starts from, you've got to have the ball to win the game, and he's a great retriever of possession, and he's a footballer as well.
"He's not just a tackler. I think he's absolutely top drawer."
Ndidi, who is under contract until June 2023, is the most expensive Leicester City player, with a valuation of 60 million euros by Transfermarkt.
