Victor Moses made his Kazakhstan Premier League debut on Monday as Kaisar Kyzylorda were held to a goalless draw by FC Astana.
Moses, who was one of the standout performers for the Super Eagles at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, joined Kaisar on a free transfer during the January window following the expiration of his contract with Luton Town.
The experienced forward missed Kaisar's season opener against FK Zhenys after being delayed in the United Arab Emirates due to recent developments in the Middle East.
However, the 2013 Afcon winner arrived in Kazakhstan on Friday, March 13 in time to be included in the matchday squad for the clash with FC Astana.
Wearing the number 11 shirt, Moses came off the bench in the 64th minute to replace Chilean midfielder Thomas Jones as Kaisar searched for a breakthrough.
Moses' move to Kaisar is among the most high-profile transfers in the history of Kazakh football, reflecting his impressive career with stints at Chelsea, Liverpool, Fenerbahçe and Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, another former Nigeria international, Imoh Ezekiel, will have to wait for his Kaisar debut, having been left out of the squad to face FC Astana.
