Former Manchester United attacker Odion Ighalo continued his brilliant form in the new season by getting on the scoresheet as Al-Shabab played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Al Hilal in a Saudi Professional Football League clash staged at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh on Thursday evening.
Al-Shabab took the lead twice during the game but were pegged back each time as Gomis and Ali Al-Bulaihi found the net for the visitors.
Ighalo broke the deadlock as early as the second minute, slotting home after he was fed by Carlos to take his tally to five this term, and a goal from Hattan Bahebri had restored Al-Shabab's one-goal advantage just past the hour mark.
The former Nigeria international has scored in every home game played by Al-Shabab in the league this term.
Elsewhere, former Golden Eaglets winger Akinkunmi Amoo directly participated in two goals as Hammarby thrashed IFK Gothenburg 3-0 in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
The Sidos Academy product made it two goals in as many games when he opened the scoring in the sixth minute, before Mohammed pounced on a pass from the Nigerian to make it 2-0 with almost the last kick of the half.
Amoo has notched ten goals in all competitions for Hammarby this season, with six of them coming in the league.
