Four Nigeria-Eligible Youngsters Sparkling For Tottenham At European U21 Tournament
Four players of Nigerian descent are presently with the Tottenham Hotspur Development squad in France for the European Under-21 Tournament.
Goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi, defenders Timothy Eyoma and Jubril Okedina, and striker Kion Etete have helped the North London club finish second in Group B.
Spurs lost 2-1 to Stade Rennais in their opener but Oluwayemi was one of the outstanding players, making a number of top drawer saves including stopping a penalty.
He retained his place in the starting line-up as Wayne Burnett's boys beat Caen 2-1 on Saturday. Kion Etete had opened the scoring in the second minute, tapping home a rebound after a shot was blocked.
In the final group game vs Strasbourg, Okedina helped the Spurs goalkeeper to post a shutout in a 2-0 win.
England U17 World Cup-winning defender Eyoma was in the team that beat SM Caen.
Tottenham will take on the second placed team in Group A, Stade Brestois in the third place play-off on Sunday.
