Four Nigerian Stars In Action Against Barcelona In Women Champions League

Four players of Nigerian descent were in action in the UEFA Women&rsquo;s Champions League game between Minsk and Barcelona at&nbsp; Mini Estadi on Wednesday evening, which finished 2-1 in favour of the Spanish team.<br /><br />Onome Ebi, Halimatu Ayinde and Emuedi&nbsp; Ogbayagbevkha made the starting line-up for the Belarus team, while teammates Aminat Yakubu and Gift Otuwe made the bench.<br /><br />Having lost the first leg 3-0, Ogbayagbevkha gave Minsk hope that they could mount a comeback when she registered her name on the score sheet in the 52nd minute, only for the homers to score two goals in the 61st and 76th minute.<br /><br />Ebi, who went the distance, received a yellow card in the 85th minute, and Ayinde was replaced by Yakubu in the 58th minute.<br /><br />Otuwe was on the bench for the entire duration of the game. <br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : pressball.by <br />
