Fulham closing in on permanent deal for Chukwueze after impressive loan spell

Fulham are edging closer to securing the permanent signing of Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan, following a productive loan spell at Craven Cottage.

According to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, the Premier League side are expected to trigger the buy option included in the winger’s loan agreement.

In search of adequate playing opportunities, the Nigeria international completed a loan move to Fulham just before the summer window closed for business.

Since transferring to the Londoners, he has become a useful attacking option under manager Marco Silva.

Despite not always being a guaranteed starter, Chukwueze has delivered key contributions in the final third.

In seventeen Premier League appearances, the Super Eagles winger has scored three goals and provided four assists, showcasing flashes of the pace, creativity and directness that made him one of Africa's most promising wide players during his Villarreal days.

Although Fulham have informed AC Milan of their intention to pay €24 million to secure the services of Chukwueze, the club remain cautious due to his fitness concerns, with the winger missing five matches across league and cup competitions as a result of a calf injury.

Chukwueze has a valid contract with AC Milan until the end of the 2027-2028 season.
