Super Eagles duo Samuel Chukwueze and Calvin Bassey have revealed their choices for the Greatest Premier League player of all time as Fulham prepare to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Chukwueze, who joined Fulham on loan from AC Milan, has enjoyed an impressive start to life in England, contributing two goals and three assists in just six league appearances.
Bassey, on the other hand, has continued to deliver consistent defensive performances for the Cottagers after making the switch from Ajax.
In a quick-fire question segment shared on Fulham’s social media channels, the Nigerian internationals were asked to name their Greatest Premier League player ever.
Chukwueze opted for former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 103 goals and registered 47 assists in 236 Premier League appearances during his two spells with the Red Devils.
Bassey chose Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, a key member of the iconic Invincibles squad. Henry remains one of the league’s all-time greats with 175 goals and 73 assists in 258 appearances.
Both Chukwueze and Bassey were recently included in Nigeria’s 54-man provisional squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, where the Super Eagles will compete in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania.
