With a statement on the official website, Finnish Veikkausliiga club FC Inter Turku have announced the signing of promising Nigerian forward Clinton Jephta.
FC Inter Turku have loaned in the Flying Eagles star from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Niger Tornadoes until July 2026, with an option to make the transfer permanent in the summer.
Jephta has been offered a contract by FC Inter Turku after impressing during a trial in February.
The 19-year-old featured in three League Cup fixtures, including two appearances for Veikkausliiga heavyweights HJK Helsinki, and found the net once, ironically against his current employers.
A versatile forward who can play in a variety of attacking roles, he featured for the Flying Eagles at last year's African U20 Cup of Nations, where Nigeria finished third.
Following the completion of his residence permit process, Jephta started training with his new teammates at Inter Turku this week and is now immediately available for selection.
In his first words as a player of Inter, he said: "It's great to be here again and I can't wait to see the fans, make good memories together and fight for victories! Let's go Inter!"
Dominic Chatto, Derik Osede, Philip Njoku, Kennedy Nwanganga, Faith Friday Obilor, Vincent Onovo and Daniel Osinachi have represented Inter Turku in the past.
