Fenerbahce file complaint to Turkish Federation over Osimhen ahead of Intercontinental Derby

Ahead of the eagerly anticipated Intercontinental Derby on Sunday, April 26, Fenerbahce  are set to submit an official report to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) .

According to reporting by Samet Çayır of Fanatik, Fenerbahçe intend to file a complaint concerning Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen has been using a specialised, custom-designed bandage to protect his right forearm following a fracture sustained during a UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool on March 18.

The medical device, which he wore during his return from injury in Wednesday's Turkish Cup fixture against Gençlerbirliği, is intended to immobilise the wrist, alleviate pain and prevent further damage while allowing him to continue playing.

Fenerbahçe argue that the protective equipment is excessively rigid and could pose a risk to the safety of opposing players.

The club's medical team has compiled a detailed report assessing the materials permitted under International Football Association Board regulations, strengthening their position ahead of the formal submission.

With four matches remaining in the 2025-2026 Super Lig season, the Intercontinental Derby could prove decisive in determining whether the title race is effectively settled.

Reigning champions Galatasaray hold a four-point lead over second-placed Fenerbahçe and sit seven points clear of Trabzonspor.
