Fulham hero Leroy Rosenior believes Kelechi Iheanacho is a goal poacher despite his limited playing opportunities at his first two English clubs, Manchester City and Leicester City.
Rosenior has opined that the Super Eagles star is playing second fiddle to Jamie Vardy because manager Brendan Rodgers clearly has no faith in Iheanacho's ability to step into the shoes of the former England attacker.
Iheanacho has been involved in 61 goals (41 goals, 20 assists) from 150 appearances combined since making his professional debut against Watford on August 29, 2015.
Speaking on Weekend Warm-up to discuss the upcoming fixtures in the Premier League, Rosenior stated : "What helps hims is that Brendan plays so many different formations and he has recognized that when Vardy is out he doesn't think that Kelechi can do that job that Vardy does.
"And again he is only 23 years old, imagine what he is being through. There's an advert on his upbringing - he had no shoes - and how he came through and became a player then he ended up at Manchester City.
"Big move to Leicester and he's still a very, very young man but one thing he's got going for him is to put the ball in the back of the net".
Iheanacho and his Leicester City teammates face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday evening, and the Nigeria international is expected to play a part for the visitors.
