Hapoel Beer Sheva Striker Anthony Nwakaeme Enters Premier League History Books
On Saturday, Anthony Nwakaeme entered the record books as the first player to score a goal at the newly opened Yaakov Turner Toto Stadium, the new home ground of Hapoel Be’er Sheva, after finding the back of the net against Maccabi Petah Tikva.<br /><br />The historic moment came in the fifth minute when he hit target for the first time as a Hapoel Be’er Sheva player and ran to celebrate with the fans of The Camels.<br /><br />Two goals from Elyaniv Barda in the 29th and 35th minutes gave Hapoel Beer Sheva a 3 - 1 lead at the end of the first half, with Mohammed Kalibat cancelling out Nwakaeme’s goal in the 21st minute.<br /><br />The Nigerian forward netted his second of the night in the 89th minute to put the home team 4 - 2 up before Maharan Radi added more gloss to the scoreline in the third minute of injury time.<br /><br />Nigeria international John Ogu proposed to his girlfriend on the pitch at the end of the game.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
