Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle has praised Akor Adams after his impressive performance in the 2-0 victory over Algeria on Saturday.
Adams, who started the match alongside Victor Osimhen, scored the second goal, rounding goalkeeper Luca Zidane before calmly placing the ball into an empty net.
This goal brought his international tally to four goals in nine matches.
During the post-match press conference, Chelle commended the work ethic and attitude the Sevilla striker brings to the team.
"Like I said, the group is more important than the player," he stated. "But Akor is in this team, he gives everything for his team, for his brothers."
He also emphasized the need for the team to stay humble and focused despite their convincing win over Algeria at the Marrakesh stadium.
"The other players once again gave everything tonight for the group. Today the win is for us. We have to stay humble and continue to work."
Adams has been outstanding for the Super Eagles, scoring two goals and providing two assists in five matches at the AFCON.
Chelle hopes the 25-year-old maintains this excellent form as Nigeria prepares to face Morocco in the semifinal on Wednesday.
