Portsmouth manager Danny Cowley has sung the praises of Miguel Azeez following his switch to the League One club a day before the close of the summer transfer window.
The Anglo-Spanish-Nigerian midfielder is departing the Emirates Stadium on a temporary basis in search of regular playing opportunities, thirteen years after he joined the club.
One of the most promising youngsters produced by the Arsenal Academy in recent years, Azeez made his professional debut during last season's Europa League group stage match against Dundalk in December.
Cowley underlined that Azeez stands out for his dribbling skills, ability to strike the ball from distance and is blessed with a wide range of passing.
The Pompey boss was quoted as saying by The News : "Azeez is one of those players who dribbles with his head up and then has the ability to play the ball through.
"He isn't afraid to shoot from distance, but we need to remember he's still only 18-years-old, not 19 until next month - but if they’re good enough they're old enough.
"Miguel is certainly good enough, but unfortunately we don't have him this week because he's away with the England under-20s at St George's Park, but we're certainly looking forward to him joining us from next week onwards."
Azeez captained the Gunners in their first two Premier League 2 fixtures of the new season before heading to Portsmouth on loan.
