Ademola Lookman has been included in Atlético Madrid’s matchday squad for Wednesday evening’s UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against Arsenal.
The Nigeria international had been considered a doubt for the visit of the Gunners as he continued his recovery from a minor injury sustained during the Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad.
As a result, the winter signing from Atalanta missed back-to-back La Liga fixtures against Elche and Athletic Bilbao.
Manager Diego Simeone has named a 23-man squad for the high-profile encounter, with Lookman included in the group.
The Argentine tactician noted during Tuesday's pre-match press conference that the Super Eagles forward was not yet at peak fitness and would require a late fitness assessment.
His inclusion in the squad suggests he has now received medical clearance from Atlético's medical team to be available for selection.
Despite facing Arsenal on five separate occasions during spells with Atalanta, Everton, Fulham and Leicester City, the London-born forward is yet to score against one of his hometown clubs.
