Hope Akpan Cleared To Face West Ham, But Delfouneso Misses Out

Blackburn Rovers have been given a boost ahead of their FA Cup clash against West Ham at Ewood Park, with Hope Akpan set to return to the squad after sitting out Tuesday&rsquo;s Championship tie versus Fulham due to illness.<br /><br />Manager Paul Lambert revealed at a press conference that the Super Eagles midfielder wasn&rsquo;t one of the players on the treatment table.<br /><br />Ex-England youth international Nathan Delfouneso is on the road to recovery but the game against West Ham has come too soon for him.<br /><br />Hope Akpan, 24, a summer signing from Reading, went the distance in Blackburn Rovers&rsquo;s 2-1 win against Newport County but wasn&rsquo;t in the squad that saw off Oxford United in the fourth round.<br /><br />West Ham&rsquo;s Nigerian trio Victor Moses, Emmanuel Emenike and Angelo Ogbonna have no fitness worries and are all available for selection.<br /><br />Photo Credit : rovers.co.uk<br />
