Chidera Ejuke has revealed that bad luck contributed to CSKA Moscow's goalless draw with Feyenoord in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
Despite dominating possession and playing with ten men for most of the second half following the dismissal of Nicolai Jörgensen for repeated fouls, the Muscovites didn't produce anything significant in the final third.
Ejuke was lively in the first half but his decision making let him down and he came close to breaking the deadlock midway through the second half but his shot was a couple of meters away from the far post.
The Nigeria international is hoping CSKA Moscow win their last two matches in Group K to seal progression to the knockout stages.
Speaking to UEFA's official website, Ejuke said : "I really don't know what's going on. It's bad luck. With so many shots in every game... it just won't go in.
"Anyway, we have to stay focused and try to win the two remaining games. It's all in our hands."
CSKA Moscow entertain Wolfsberger next Thursday before wrapping up group play away at Dinamo Zagreb on December 10.
