'I'm good and fine' - Lookman declares himself fit after injury scare against Tunisia

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has reassured fans and teammates after suffering an injury scare during Nigeria’s 3-2 victory over Tunisia, confirming that he is fine and ready to move on to the next game.

The Atalanta star briefly caused concern when he went down following a strong challenge during the encounter, prompting fears of a possible injury for the Super Eagles. However, those worries were quickly put to rest after the final whistle.

Speaking to journalists after the match, Lookman gave a positive update on his condition.

“Yeah I am good and fine,” he said. “Pleased with the result, three points, so it's a good win, so we are looking forward to the next game.”

The Nigerian international also praised the team’s overall performance, particularly their dominance for large periods of the match.

“The win is definitely important. I think our performance today for 75 mins was top,” Lookman noted.

“I don't think they did much during the game, they didn't create much and that was a bravo to our performance.”

Looking ahead, Lookman emphasized the importance of maintaining the same intensity and focus in upcoming fixtures.

“We take that into the next game and keep on continuing like that,” he added.

When asked if this is his best performance for Nigeria, the forward remained modest, stressing his commitment to the collective effort.

“I don't know it's up to you guys to decide that. For me, I just try to help the team as much as I can.”

Nigeria have now secured qualification for the knockout stage and currently sit top of Group C.

Lookman will be eager to see the Super Eagles maintain their impressive form when they face Uganda, as they look to seal top spot in the group.
