Intelligent Queens Park Rangers winger Odysseus Alfa is the latest dual-eligible player to pledge his international future to Nigeria over England, where he was raised.
The 21-year-old has made it clear it doesn't make sense to represent another country as he was born in Nigeria plus the fact that his parents are Nigerians.
Alfaa is inching closer to a first-team breakthrough at Queens Park Rangers having trained with the senior squad on multiple occasions.
"I was born in Kaduna, Nigeria. Most likely my international future lies with Nigeria, " Alfa said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
"My family is Nigerian, I was born there so it doesn't make sense for me to represent another nation."
Alfa is a tricky winger and one of his biggest strengths is his dribbling skills and he has revealed that he's aiming to improve his game by watching some of the world's top wingers, including Lionel Messi.
" I don't model my game around anyone in particular, but I like to watch and learn a lot of attributes from top players.
"So I always watch the top wingers in the world, like Serge Gnabry, Lionel Messi, Wilfried Zaha and look at what skills and attributes I can replicate.
"My main strengths would be my speed and dribbling skills. I think I can be tricky with my dribbling too which gives me different ways to work my way and attack," the Queens Park Rangers number 34 added.
Alfa was playing Sunday League Football prior to his move to Queens Park Rangers at the age of fourteen.
