Leicester City were beaten 2-1 by Brighton & Hove on the South Coast on Sunday after three VAR decisions went against them including two goals disallowed for offside in the build-up.
RB Leipzig loanee Ademola Lookman had a goal ruled out as Harvey Barnes was deemed to be interfering with play and in similar circumstances Wilfred Ndidi's header which would have tied things up at 2-2 was chalked off.
The Super Eagles hopeful was lively after coming off the bench at halftime and proved too hot to handle for the Seagulls.
Lookman could not hide his frustration after the game and revealed that the upcoming Carabao Cup clash against Millwall at The Den is a chance for Leicester City to bounce back after three games without a win.
"We pushed and we pushed, to try and get a result out of the game," Lookman was quoted as saying by Leicester City's official website.
"It’s just unfortunate that we couldn’t get the three points for the fans here. It was definitely frustrating on the pitch for us, when you put the ball in the net twice and it gets disallowed. It’s more than frustrating.
"We’ve got to bounce back. We go again on Wednesday in the Cup, and we’ll look to win that game to progress to the next round. From there, we’ll keep on building."
Since netting the game-winning goal against Sheffield United on
February 20, 2021, Lookman has yet to score in the English top-flight.
