Kelechi Iheanacho Sends Manchester City To League Cup Semi - Final

Manchester City cruised to the semi - finals of the League Cup on Tuesday night, thrashing Hull City 4 - 1, with Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho among the scorers for the Citizens.<br /><br />The 2014 League Cup winners were only a goal ahead before the former Golden Eaglets sensation joined the fray in the 71st minute as replacement for Wilfried Bony.<br /><br />Hull City&rsquo;s Harry Maguire was booked in the 76th minute after his pocket was picked by the Nigerian and was on his way to launch an attack before he was fouled.<br /><br />On 80 minutes, Iheanacho extended City&rsquo;s lead, converting Raheem Sterling&rsquo;s inviting ball from close range.<br /><br />Of the three Anglo - Nigerians that made The Tigers starting XI, only one, Moses Odubajo went the distance, as Akpom and Aluko subbed out in the 68th and 73rd minute respectively.<br /><br />Photo Credit : mcfc.co.uk<br />
