Nigeria international Peter Olayinka was unveiled as a new player of Cypriot giants APOEL Nicosia on Thursday, February 12.
According to APOEL's official webpage, the forward has signed a short-term deal that will keep him at the 29-time Cypriot champions until May 2026.
Olayinka is finally set to return to action after being inactive for approximately four months following the mutual termination of his contract at Red Star Belgrade.
The experienced attacker has represented clubs in Albania, Northern Cyprus, Belgium, Czech Republic and Serbia.
Olayinka has featured in a total of 364 matches throughout his career, registering an impressive return of 102 goals and providing 61 assists for his teammates.
The 30-year-old marked his UEFA Champions League debut for Slavia Prague with a goal against Inter Milan in September 2019, scoring at the San Siro in the group stage.
On the international stage, he was a member of the Super Eagles squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, featuring in two games against Guinea-Bissau and Tunisia.
After 21 matches in the Cypriot First Division, APOEL are sixth in the standings with 36 points ahead of their upcoming clash with Ethnikos Achna.
