Liverpool are on the brink of officially confirming the capture of Falkirk wonderkid Tony Gallacher.

The Liverpool Echo says Liverpool have struck a £200,000 deal with Scottish club Falkirk for the signing of young defender Tony Gallacher.

Tony Gallacher, who is a Scotland youth international, has been offered a contract by the Reds after impressing the coaching staff at trials.

The left-back had been on the wishlist of Manchester United and Stoke City before he agreed terms with Liverpool.

Aged 18, he made his senior debut for Falkirk in a Scottish Cup tie at against Fraserburgh in November 2015, and has recorded 26 appearances for the first team to date.

Tony Gallacher will link up with Nigerian duo Bobby Adekanye and Ovie Ejaria in the U23 team of Liverpool.
