Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has urged Sheyi Ojo to show his quality throughout his loan spell at Rangers.
Having scored three goals in his first six appearances since his summer move to Rangers, the Nigerian winger is in contention to make his sixth start for the Scottish giants when they take on FC Midtjylland in the Europa League third qualifying round on Thursday.
Though Ojo is in top form at the moment, he is not resting on his laurels and wants to keep improving.
Speaking at Wednesday's press conference, Ojo told Rangers TV : ''Me and the gaffer (Gerrard) had a conversation before about showing my quality as much as I can, every game, every training session.
''As the season will go on, I hope that I can keep improving and keep showing what I can do.
''For now I am just taking it a step at a time and obviously tomorrow's game we are all looking forward to it.''
On the competition in the Rangers squad, Ojo said : '''Obviously it is clear like the manager has already told us that every time we get opportunity we have to take it, so the likes of Brandon Barker coming in, it has not really done anything to me.
''I know every game I have to be at a 100 percent and if I get the opportunity I have to show what I can do.''
A World Cup winner with England at U20 level, Ojo has been loaned out to Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Reims and Rangers since joining Liverpool.
