Championship outfit Luton Town are sweating on the fitness of their top scorer Elijah Adebayo before their FA Cup meeting with world champions Chelsea at Kenilworth Road on Wednesday evening.
Adebayo went off in the 78th minute of the 1-0 win over Derby County at the weekend after picking up a knock, leaving his participation against the Premier League side uncertain.
The 24-year-old has been Luton Town's key man this season, with thirteen goals in all competitions including the first goal in a 4-0 rout of Harrogate Town in the third round of the FA Cup.
Providing a fitness update on his squad, manager Nathan Jones was quoted as saying by Luton Today: "Ade had a knock and Henri had a knock for the West Brom game and was struggling.
"Then Ade hit him in the exact same spot, so it's just two little knocks and we’re just seeing if they can come through that.
"It was just on the side of his leg (for Adebayo), so we didn’t want to take any risks."
Whether or not Adebayo passes a late fitness test, there is still huge Nigerian interest in the game with Luton Town's Lagos-born winger Fred Onyedinma and Gabriel Osho available for selection
