Manchester United first team coach Kieran McKenna was at the Leigh Sports Village to watch the young Red Devils in action, according to Manchester Evening News.
Netherlands U17 international of Nigerian descent Dillon Hoogewerf and Irish youth-teamer Deji Sotona were handed starts by manager Neil Ryan for the clash, with their teammate Shola Shoretire joining the fray after 72 minutes.
Hoogewerf was particularly a thorn in flesh for Lincoln, as the visitors failed to keep up with his movements in the final third for much part of it.
The attacker combined with his strike partner, Sotona for United's first goal when he lashed onto a cross from his compatriot to score in the 41st minute.
And the youngster grabbed his brace on the night a minute past the hour mark thanks to his sharp movement to connect with a Lukasz Bejger's ball and race through to slot home.
The goals took his tally to six for the season in all competitions for the club's youth teams.
Thus, their reward for the latest victory is a tie with Norwich City in the next round of the competition.
