FC Midtjylland coach Brian Priske believes Frank Onyeka has been outstanding despite the club's poor run in the UEFA Champions League with no wins after three matches ahead of their matchday four fixture against former champions Ajax Amsterdam at the Johan Cruyff Arena on Wednesday night.
At the midway point of the group stage of the Champions League, the Nigeria national teamer is the stats leader in two categories.
Of all the players involved in this season's competition, Onyeka has committed the most fouls, 13 in total, and won the most free-kicks (14), and it does not surprise his coach, Priske.
"If you have followed 'Frank the tank' for a long time in the Super League and in Europe this year, then you know that there is some power, physique, aggression and dynamism in his game," Priske was quoted as saying by Bold.dk.
"I think it's a bit in the cards that he will of course get some free kicks and of course he will also commit some. It is one of his trademarks that he has an extreme physique in his game.
"I think he has been outstanding like many other players. Like many other players, he has adapted and has played European football at a high level.
"I am super satisfied all the way around, but it is clear that Frank has delivered at a high level for a long time".
With the exception of the 4-0 loss to Atalanta on matchday one in the group stage, Onyeka has gone the distance in all the matches played by the Danish champions in Europe this term, including the qualifying rounds of the Champions League.
