Victor Osimhen has not exactly hit the ground running as he would have expected following his record transfer to Napoli in the summer transfer window.
The Nigeria national teamer has two goals to his name after eight appearances in all competitions for the Blues but has insisted that he's not under pressure to deliver.
Speaking to reporters at Thursday's press conference, Osimhen explained : "There is no pressure at all, for me it is to continue to improve with the team, I think I just joined the team about four months ago.
"I have been doing quite well, not really bad and I think I can really improve also, I am really working hard towards that direction."
Osimhen reiterated that he was delighted that manager Gernot Rohr handed him a call-up for the double header against Sierra Leone after he was barred from linking up with the Super Eagles in Austria last month.
On what Nigerians should expect from him if he gets to feature against the Leone Stars, he said : "For me to be back, I am really happy, I am happy the coach invited me and of course we have a quality team, and like I said yesterday the game won't be easy so we have to prepare well which we have been doing the past days.
"Tomorrow we expect nothing but victory but it won't be easy".
Osimhen is Nigeria's most important player in the Africa Cup
of Nations qualifiers in terms of goal contribution, having been
involved in a remarkable 83.3 percent of the goals (3 goals, 2 assists)
scored by the national team.
