Nigeria Target Odubajo Shines As Hull City Record Comfortable Win Vs Derby County
Hull City are well placed to qualify for the Football League Championship playoff finals on the back of their 3-0 rout of Derby County at the iPro Stadium on Saturday in the <span class="_xJh">Championship Semi-final</span>, <span class="_xJh">Game 1.<br /><br />Manager Steve Bruce named Nigeria target Moses Odubajo in his starting XI, while Arsenal loanee Chuba Akpom and Super Eagles striker Sone Aluko were amongst the seven substitutes on the Tigers bench.<br /><br /></span><span class="name">Abel Hernandez</span>’s shot from 25 yards gave Hull City the lead on the half-hour mark before Moses Odubajo’s deflected shot went in off Jason Shackell in the 40th minute.<br /><br />In second-half injury time, <span class="name">Andrew Robertson further dampened the morale of the Derby County players when he scored Hull City</span>’s third, firing in a 25-yard effort after he was teed up by Odubajo.<br /><br />England U21 international Chuba Akpom came off the bench in the 83rd minute; Sone Aluko was an unused substitute.<br /><br />The second leg will be staged at the KC Stadium on Tuesday, May 17.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel<br /><br />Photo Credit : hullcitytigers.com<br />
