Nigeria U20 Star Ihezuo: Like Amunike, Taribo West & Siasia, I Started Playing Football In Ajegunle
Falconets star Chinwendu Ihezuo has revealed that she started playing football in Ajegunle, a Lagos suburb that produced the likes of Taribo West, Samson Siasia, Emmanuel Amunike, Odion Ighalo and Brown Ideye.<br /><br />The <span>BIIK Kazygurt attacker says playing with boys in the neighborhood improved her as a player and made her more fit. <br /><br /> “I began playing the game as a young girl, and soon realised that I had a talent for it,” Ihezuo explained to fifa.com.<br /><br />“I always played with the boys, which made me even stronger. That gave me several advantages when facing girls my own age.”<br /><br />Quizzed about the chances of Nigeria reaching the final after a shaky start against Japan, she said : </span><span>“The title is all that matters to us, and we’ve got our sights set on it again.” </span><br /><br />Ihezuo holds the record for most goals scored in a single U-17
