Faustino Anjorin's Nigerian dad Sheriff Anjorin has revealed that the Chelsea midfielder transferred to Lokomotiv Moscow on loan in the summer transfer window because the Russian Premier League club have big ambitions just like his son.
The England youth international was unveiled by the Railwaymen on Saturday and has already started training with his new teammates who are not on international duty.
The agreement between Chelsea and Lokomotiv Moscow will keep Anjorin at the Muscovites until the end of the season but there is an option to make the deal permanent in 2022.
"We are glad that Tino is already in Moscow. The decision, in fact, was not difficult," Sheriff Anjorin said to Euro-Football.ru.
"We all know perfectly well what a fantastic city Moscow is, we also saw the World Championship that was held here.
"Lokomotiv has big ambitions, like Faustino, so we believe that this can be an ideal union, and, in my opinion, a long-term one.
"Tino has already met Moscow and fell in love with this wonderful city."
Lokomotiv Moscow have high hopes for the
Anglo-Nigerian wonderkid and have handed him their iconic number 10 jersey, last
worn by club legend Dmitri Loskov.
