Nigerian Trio Victor Moses, Iwobi & Abraham React After Arsenal Vs Chelsea ICC Clash
Nigeria trio Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi and Tammy Abraham have taken to social media to react to the International Champions Cup clash between London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal in Dublin on Thursday night, which the Gunners won 6-5 on penalties.
For only the second game in pre-season, new managers Maurizio Sarri and Unai Emery observed Moses and Iwobi respectively at close quarters after resuming pre-season preparations behind time due to their commitments with the Super Eagles in June.
As for Tammy Abraham, he has been involved in all Chelsea's pre-season games so far, coming off the bench on each occasion.
Moses wore the captain's armband following his introduction in the 63rd minute, same time Iwobi replaced Smith Rowe and Abraham came on for álvaro Morata.
The three offensive-minded players were handed penalty-taking
responsibilities at the end of ninety minutes with the scores tied at 1-1 and were all successful from the spot, with Iwobi scoring
the decisive kick.
Moses tweeted : ''Not the result we wanted but good to get more minutes in the bank. We move on to the game on Sunday now. #fitness #CFC''.
Abraham echoed the words of Moses, posting on Instagram : ''Not the result we wanted at the end but thank you guys for the support once again 🙌ðŸ¾ðŸ’™onto Sunday’s big game. #CFC''.
The understandably ecstatic Iwobi said : ''More Minutes Tonight & Happy To Score The Winning PenðŸ˜…âš½ï¸ Thanks For All Your Support Ireland! 🇮🇪 #AFC''.
