No Spartak Moscow Contract For Godwin Obaje, Fails Trials

Wikki Tourists striker Godwin Obaje will continue his search for a foreign club ahead of the reopening of the winter transfer market. <br /><br />The Super Eagles invitee has returned from Russia, where he tested with Spartak Moscow, but has not been offered a contract by the leadership of The Red-Whites.<br /><br />Championat.com has reported that Obaje did not impress manager Massimo Carrera during training, and will not be offered a contract, contrary to speculations in his homeland that he is negotiating a five-year deal.<br /><br />The 19-year-old finished as top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) last term with 18 goals to his name.<br /><br />In October 2015, Godwin Obaje had agreed terms with Slovakian side AS Trencin but the deal fell through at the last minute. <br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel<br /><br />Photo Credit : SL10.ng<br />
