Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has questioned the decision of the video assistant referee to disallow a goal scored by Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi during the second half of his side's 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove at the Amex on Sunday afternoon.
Two other big decisions went against the Foxes as VAR gave a penalty to the Seagulls after Vestergaard handled the ball in the area in the 32nd minute, before chalking off Ademola Lookman's goal in the 66th minute.
Lookman bundled home a corner to seemingly get Leicester back on level terms but the goal was disallowed as Harvey Barnes was deemed
to be offside following a VAR review.
And five minutes from time, Ndidi headed in at the near post from a corner but the goal was chalked off as Barnes, again, was interfering with play according to VAR.
Reacting to the two disallowed goals, Rodgers was quoted as saying by BBC Match of the Day : "On the first disallowed goal, I can see it a little bit.
"Jannik looks like he’s going to head and the keeper is set, it just misses him [Jannik] and by the time Ade (Lookman) plays it, he may have been blinded a little bit.
"So I can see it a little bit on that, even though I do think the keeper can see it [the ball].
Rodgers continued : "But Wilf’s goal, there is absolutely no way on this earth that it can be offside. The ball comes in, he’s moving up, away from the keeper and the keeper has never lost sight of it, everything is in front of him.
"It’s a great ball in, a great leap, a great header and gave us what we at least deserved from the game, for the second half.
"For that to be ruled out, the two goals and the penalty, we didn’t quite get the luck today."
Leicester City sit 12th in the Premier League standings with six points from five games before their next league match against Burnley.
