Manchester City has announced through its official website that several promising youngsters have signed scholarships with the club. <br /><br />And one of the players that is inching closer to making his professional debut for the Etihad oufit is Anglo - Nigerian defender Ashinme Kigbu.<br /><br />The 16 - year - old has put pen to paper on a two - year deal which will see him remain at Manchester City until the summer of 2017.<br /><br /> Manchester United, Arsenal,Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were amongst teams plotting a swoop for Ashinme Kigbu if he had not extended his contract.<br /><br />Manchester City snatched Ashinme Kigbu from under the noses of Manchester&nbsp;United back in the 2011 - 2012 season.<br />
