Maltese Premier League club Balzan have struck a deal with Qormi over the signing of Alfred Effiong, writes the official website.<br /><br />The player has informed <b>allnigeriasoccer.com </b>that the contract is designed for three seasons and he has been handed the number 17 jersey.<br /><br />The Malta international has been in the Island Nation for the past ten years and got married to a citizen of the country five years ago which made him eligible for naturalization.<br /><br />Alfred Effiong first played for St. George&rsquo;s when he arrived in Malta before appearing for &auml;&brvbar;amrun Spartans and Qormi.<br /><br />He returned for a second spell with Qormi in the 2012 - 2013 season after stops at Marsaxlokk and Valletta.<br /><br />The 30 - year - old could make his official debut for Balzan on Saturday in their league game against Hibernians.<br /><br /><br />
