EFL Championship club Blackburn Rovers have confirmed that Nigerian center back Tosin Adarabioyo has returned to his parent club Manchester City following the end of his loan spell which was originally due to run out at the end of last month.
Rovers have announced their retained and released list and one of the players departing Ewood Park is Adarabioyo.
The 22-year-old, who has played non-competitive matches for England youth teams, had an impressive season at Roves, making 35 appearances in total across all competitions.
His brilliant finish against Bristol City on matchday 38 was shortlisted for Blackburn Rovers Goal of the Season, an award eventually won by Adam Armstrong.
And that wasn't his only goal, with the defender also getting on the scoresheet against Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic.
Adarabiyo has been on the books of Manchester City since the age of five and his contract there expires at the end of the 2020-2021 campaign.
