Italian Serie C team F.C. Südtirol have officially announced the signing of Italian-Nigerian striker Raphael Odogwu.
Born in Verona to an Italian mother and Nigerian father, Odogwu has inked a two-year contract with the option of another season.
The 29-year-old had a direct hand in 15 goals (8goals, 7 assists) in 27 matches for his last club Virtus Verona in the 2019-2020 campaign.
In his first words as a player of FC Sudtirol, he told the club's official website : "I'm starting my adventure at FC Südtirol with great motivation and can't wait to get started.
"Just when last year's championship was exciting, the season had to be stopped. But I always look ahead and have a good feeling for the future.
"The association is well organized, has innovative infrastructures and, like me, has great ambitions. I would like to thank everyone for the trust they have placed in me and I promise to always do my best. "
Odogwu graduated from the University of Verona and has a Master's degree in Economics.
FC Arzignano Valchiampo, AltoVicentino, AC Renate and Real Vicenza are the other teams he has represented in Italy.
