Through their official website, Liverpool have announced the signing of the talented English-born Nigerian striker Rinsola Babajide from Watford Ladies.

An England U20 international, Babajide is known to be on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation with a view to a call up to the Super Falcons.

She made the back pages at home and abroad after scoring fourteen goals for the University of East London team against University College, London in 2016.

In her first words as a Liverpool Ladies player, Babajide said : ''I am absolutely delighted to be joining a club as big as Liverpool Ladies and cannot wait to get started.

''This is a huge opportunity for me to make the step up to FA WSL1 and I am really excited to meet my new teammates.''

Babajide had stops at Millwall Lionesses Ladies and Crystal Palace Ladies before her move to Watford.
