Official: Manchester United Announce Outgoing Transfer Of Versatile Defender

England youth international Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will spend the forthcoming season on loan at League One club Scunthorpe United, Manchester United reported on their official website on Saturday morning.

The Mancunian previously had loan spells at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United.

Borthwick-Jackson made his first team debut for the Red Devils against West Bromwich Albion during the 2015-2016 season and played 14 games to date.

Though he is a left-back, he is also comfortable when deployed in central defense and can also play as a makeshift left midfielder.

Borthwick-Jackson's loan is subject to Premier League clearance and league ratification.

He won Manchester United's U21 Player of the Year award in May 2016 before penning a new deal tying him to the club until 2020.
