Portuguese third- tier side Varzim have snapped up Ejike Awurum on a six - month loan from from Mozambican side Chibuto. <br /><br />Being a household name in Mozambique, the 23 - year - old did not have to undergo trials before he was offered a contract by <i>The Sea Wolves</i>. <br /><br />Ejike Awurum was top scorer in the Mozambican second division,&nbsp; where his 22 goals ensured instant promotion for Chibuto two seasons ago. <br /><br />He won the Dana Cup U-19 title in 2009, and was also top scorer with six goals.<br /><br />The prolific striker will make his official debut for Varzim when the league resumes on February 15.<br /><br />Photo Credit : varzim.pt<br /><br />
