Maltese Premier League side <span class="st">Birkirkara FC have announced via their official website that they have parted company with Shola Shodiya, 24.<br /><br />The former Gateway and Enyimba frontman is yet to appear for The Stripes in the league this season after picking up a long term injury.<br /><br />Shola Shodiya joined </span><span class="st"><span class="st">Birkirkara FC in August 2011, snubbing advances from Mqabba FC and Qormi, who were both interested in his signature.<br /><br />The highlight of his career whilst with </span></span><span class="st"><span class="st"><span class="st">Birkirkara FC was helping the club win the Premier League title in 2013.<br /><br />In 118 appearances, he scored 42 goals and was voted the </span></span></span><span class="st"><span class="st"><span class="st">BOV Player of the Month in February 2013.</span><br /></span><br /><br /></span><br /><br />
