With a statement on its official website, MLS outfit FC Dallas has informed that the contract of Canada international Tesho Akindele has been extended. <br /><br />The current MLS Rookie of the Year has put pen to paper on a fresh three - year deal with Dallas, which will keep him at the Toyota Stadium until November 2018.<br /><br />&ldquo;I couldn&rsquo;t be happier right now. This team obviously took a chance on me when maybe some other teams wouldn&rsquo;t have in the draft. <br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m glad it worked out my first year and I&rsquo;m excited to be here,&rdquo; Tesho Akindele told fcdallas.com.<br /><br />The 23 - year - old, who has been named to the Canadian Gold Cup roster, has played 43 first team games for FC Dallas, scoring 11 goals.<br /><br />Photo Credit : fcdallas.com<br />
