Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has hailed the influence of Ademola Lookman since his arrival at the club, highlighting the two qualities set him apart from the team's other forwards.
Lookman, who joined the Rojiblancos from Atalanta in January, has hit the ground running, scoring three goals and providing two assists in just five appearances across all competitions.
His impressive performances have already made him a fan favourite at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Accessing his performance, Simeone highlighted Lookman's distinct style, noting that while he can contribute in combination play, his standout attribute is his effectiveness in one-on-one situations.
"He has different qualities compared to our other forwards. He's more of a specialist in one-on-ones than in combination play, even though he can do that as well, and he immediately made a very good impact on the team."
The Nigerian international will be pleased with his start in Spain, especially after a challenging beginning to the season with Atalanta, where he struggled during the summer transfer window and had a fallout with former coach Ivan Juric.
Looking ahead, Lookman will aim to continue his fine form in La Liga as Atletico prepare to face Espanyol on Saturday, with hopes of scoring his first league goal against the Catalan side.
