(Photo Confirmation) Ex-Liverpool Goalkeeper Joins The Eagles
Through a statement on their official website, London club Crystal Palace have announced the signing of former Liverpool netminder Diego Cavalieri.
The ex-Brazil international could be signed by the Eagles despite the transfer window being closed as he was a free agent, and he has now been added to their 25-man Premier League roster for the remainder of this season.
Crystal Palace had been in the market for a goalkeeper as Wayne Hennessey is the only one who is completely fit after a knee injury suffered by Julian Speroni.
Cavalieri last played for Fluminense in his homeland and has three caps for Brazil's national team.
The 35-year-old spent two years at Liverpool from 2008-2010, making 10 appearances for the Reds in all competitions while conceding 12 goals and posting four shutouts.
He has also represented Palmeiras (Brazil) and Cesena (Italy).
