Both Liverpool and Cardiff City have officially confirmed that Nigeria-eligible winger Sheyi Ojo will be spending the entirety of the 2020-2021 season on loan at the Championship club, subject to international clearance.
This is the sixth time in Ojo's Liverpool career that he has been farmed out on loan, having previously spent time at Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Reims and Glasgow Rangers.
Speaking after putting pen to paper on the deal, Ojo told Cardiff City TV : "I’ve got a point to prove and I’m really excited for the new challenge."
"Cardiff City is a massive club with great fans and great players – hopefully I can show what I can do here and fit right in."
The 2017 U20 World Cup winner is hoping to be involved for the Bluebirds when they take on Sheffield Wednesday in their Championship opener this coming Saturday.
"Wherever the ball is, I want to be involved in the game as much as possible," he continued.
"I’m delighted to get here in time for a full week’s training with the team ahead of the first home game this Saturday. Now it’s important that we start right," Ojo added.
Since joining Liverpool from MK Dons in 2011, Ojo has made 13 first team appearances for the Premier League champions.
