PL 2: Manchester United's Anglo-Nigerian winger produces two delightful assists vs West Ham
Anglo-Nigerian winger Shola Shoretire enhanced his burgeoning reputation by producing two delightful assists as Manchester United registered an impressive 3-1 win over West Ham United in a Premier League 2 game on Saturday afternoon.
The England U19 international has been in fine form in his last five matches in the division with his brace of assists against the Hammers taking his goal involvement to fourteen in all competitions this season.
The Red Devils took the lead in the 13th minute when an excellent through ball from Shoretire made its way to D'Mani Mellor who finished well past the advancing goalkeeper but the away side responded as Dan Chesters fired in from the edge of the box to equalise.
Manchester United retook the lead courtesy of Mellor's left-footed finish in the 61st minute.
With two minutes to go, another brilliant through ball from Shoretire put Stanley in and he showed really good composure to slip the ball past the goalkeeper.
Shoretire, who turned 18 on February 2, trained with Manchester United's first team in their final workout before the visit of Middlesbrough but was not selected in the matchday squad by interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
