The Premier League 2 meeting between Crystal Palace and Chelsea proved to be thrilling as anticipated with both teams sharing the spoils with a 3-3 draw.
Eight Nigeria-eligible players were on parade in the game week seven fixture at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Derrick Abu made his season debut for Chelsea youth team, going the distance at right-back as manager Mark Robinson decided to set up his team in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
As for the Eagles, goalkeeper Owen Goodman, Tayo Adaramola, David Ozoh, David Omilabu and Malcolm Ebiowei were handed starts, while Ademola Ola-Adebomi and Victor Akinwale entered the fray in the second half.
Former Chelsea schoolboy Ebiowei was close to breaking the deadlock as early as the first minute but saw his effort hit the bar.
Chelsea starlet Omari Hutchinson opened the scoring with a quarter of an hour played and doubled the advantage four minutes into the second half.
Omilabu pulled one back for the home team at minute 59 when he swept home after the ball fell kindly to him but Lewis Hall restored the Blues two-goal cushion four minutes later.
With ten minutes left on the clock, Ozoh halved the deficit before Jack Wells-Morrison grabbed an equaliser in stoppage time.
Palace are topping the Premier League 2 table with 14 points from six games, while Chelsea are seventh with eight points.
